Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, has come under fire from well-known Nigerian actress Bukola Arugba for her position on the state’s recent church attack.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, a live church program in Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara state, was reportedly targeted by terrorists at a branch of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC.

Three individuals had been killed, and the pastor and an unknown number of congregants had also been kidnapped.

In a video posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday night, the actress responded to the heartbreaking news by criticizing Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, for labeling the incident as an attempted attack even though it was captured in real time.

The actress, who is from the Eruku village, denied Olufolake Abdulrazaq’s assertion, saying that three of her family members were kidnapped and are still with their captors.

Bukola Arugba accused the First Lady of downplaying the gravity of the incident in a video posted on her Instagram page. She insisted that the terrorists had successfully carried out the horrific attack.

“I read a press release on the Kwara state First Lady’s page regarding the bandit attack in my home town, Eruku Ekiti LGA Kwara state, which totally contradicts the sad truth,” she wrote while pleading for assistance. This video aims to rectify the report that was posted on your page, ma’am.

“This immediately affects my people. The viral footage, which was streamed live throughout the show, was seen by everyone on the internet.

It was a successful attack rather than an attempted one. After learning that it was an attempted attack and that no one was killed, I was in excruciating misery. However, several individuals were kidnapped, three people were confirmed dead, and many others were admitted to hospitals.
