NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terror Cells in Katsina, Kill Scores of ISWAP Fighters in Chibok
According to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), its airstrikes have killed a number of terrorists in Nigeria’s northwest and northeast.
In a statement, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, noted that an intelligent-driven air interdiction was the reason for the success.
The statement claims that on November 27, 2025, NAF aircraft carried out two coordinated strikes in Katsina State. The first strike, which began at around 06:30, targeted the fortified base of a notorious terrorist kingpin connected to violent attacks, livestock rustling, and serial kidnappings in Kankara, Faskari, and Malumfashi Local Government Areas.
“The aircraft used precision munitions to destroy the camp under the guidance of real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), while persistent ISR enabled follow-on engagements as surviving fighters attempted to flee,” he said.
It claims that at around 1755 hours, a second strike struck another significant terrorist enclave in Danfako, Faskari LGA, destroying logistics hubs, buildings, equipment, and operational infrastructure. At the same time, several terrorists were neutralized, further undermining their networks and depriving them of safe havens throughout the North-West.
A coordinated multi-front ISWAP/Boko Haram attack on Chibok was repelled by ground troops of the 28 Task Force Brigade, Sector 4 OPERATION HADIN KAI (OPHK) in Borno State. Additionally, NAF aircraft carried out four major strikes against regrouping insurgents along their escape route, inflicting significant casualties, under the guidance of real-time intelligence from ground forces.
The operations highlight the NAF’s steadfast dedication to accurate, surgical engagements, the release said.
According to the statement, this was intended to neutralize threats, restore security, and protect residents’ lives and property while maintaining the commitment to work with ground forces and other security agencies to bring peace back to every region of the nation.
