Godwin Nnadiekwe, a Nollywood actor, sustained a severe injury that resulted in internal bleeding and necessitated immediate treatment.
The movie actor reportedly described his ordeal in a series of Instagram posts.
Nnadiekwe stated that the event occurred when his colleague, Zubby Michael, kicked him severely in the chest, resulting in internal bleeding that led to his hospitalisation.
He stated that the kick was not scripted or approved by the movie’s producer.
Nnadiekwe claimed the kick caused agonizing pain, necessitating immediate and costly medical attention, and that the film’s production staff provided no assistance.
He stated, “I just wanted to share an incident that occurred on set a few days ago.” This is not to single out anyone, but it is a serious reminder to prioritize each other’s safety on set. During a scene, I was kicked in the chest by a coworker who was not part of the script or directed by the director.
“It has caused me significant agony. I needed to acquire medication for my chest to feel better today. I did all of this by myself. No assistance! When we operate without insurance or easily available first aid, unexpected physical actions like this, even if unintentional, might have serious implications. Let us commit to following the script and making everyone feel secure and appreciated.
“What if something more serious had occurred?” Or did this go south? Every activity on set, especially physical ones, must be intentional and aligned with the director’s vision. Please let us all look out for one another and keep our sets safe and secure for everyone. Our health and safety are vital. Our wellbeing should always come first. Peace !!!”
In a subsequent social media post, Nnadiekwe’s management team revealed that his condition had deteriorated, necessitating immediate hospital admittance for emergency care.

The message stated, “We regret to inform you that actor Godwin Nnadiekwe was brought to the hospital this evening. He is having treated for internal bleeding caused by a kick to the chest during filming with his colleague Zubby Michael.
“We are committed to providing the finest possible treatment and will keep the public and the AGN board informed. We appreciate your concern and best wishes for Godwin during this time. Keep Godwin in your thoughts. Management.”
Meanwhile, a video circulating online shows Zubby Michael exiting a vehicle and delivering a violent kick to Nnadiekwe’s chest before fleeing into a nearby building.
