The long-running rumors that American rapper Kiari Cephus, better known by his stage name Offset, had an affair with fellow rapper Saweetie have finally been addressed.
Offset called the accusations needless and wholly untrue in a podcast conversation with singer and actress Keke Palmer.
He emphasized that the adultery rumors were “strange and baseless,” saying, “That whole Saweetie thing was just weird.”
The former member of Migos also talked candidly about his breakup with Grammy-winning musician Cardi B, acknowledging that his own transgressions caused their marriage to fall apart.
Offset admitted that infidelity and bad choices had a negative impact on their marriage, saying, “I messed up, and it cost me my marriage.”
Although they are no longer together, the rapper acknowledged that he has a great deal of respect for Cardi B and called her “bro.” He also explained that their divorce is still pending.
Offset went on to discuss his personal experience, stating that he has been dealing with loss after his cousin and bandmate Takeoff passed away in 2022.
The rapper stated that he is now focusing on self-improvement and recovery since he is determined to change his life.
He declared, “I’m focused on becoming a better man now,” and he credited his recovery from addiction and inner peace to both treatment and his faith.
