“Our Ancestors Are Angry” – Yul Edochie Blames Untimely Deaths in Southeast on Ancestral Wrath

Yul Edochie, a Nigerian actress, has raised alarm over the country’s rising premature death rate, particularly in the southeast.
It was alleged that the director advocated for a return to traditional religious rituals.
Edochie wrote on his Facebook page that he recently drove from Anambra State to Arochukwu in Abia State and was surprised by the amount of obituary boards he noticed along the road.

He believes that the high rate of premature death is due to society’s abandonment of traditional practices.

He added that the spirits of the ancestors are furious because they have been neglected, and urged Nigerians to reconnect with their roots by practicing traditional religion.

He claimed that doing so would result in spiritual cleansing and help the country overcome its issues.

Edochie further suggested that connecting with ancestral spirits will allow them to fight for individuals and communities.

He emphasized that Nigeria requires significant spiritual involvement.

He added, “I drove from Anambra to Arochukwu, Abia state, and I noticed so many obituary posters. Too many premature and untimely deaths. And it’s because we abandoned our established methods. Our forefathers and spirits are angry. We must return to our original faith, unite with our ancestors and spirits, and they will fight our wars. “Our society requires spiritual cleansing.”
