Given the ongoing internal conflict plaguing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State, stakeholders have advised former governor Sule Lamido to think about switching to a different political party.
Following its meeting at the PDP state office, a communiqué signed by its chairman, Hon. Ali Idris Diginsa, and made accessible to reporters contained this information.
It voiced its worries about the party’s alleged worsening internal crises and the leadership’s inability to settle enduring disagreements.
The Forum accused the party of allegedly excluding Lamido and keeping him from running for national chairman for a known reason.
The recent altercation between Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja was embarrassing and deplorable. What is happening in the party is revealing the party’s inadequacies and embarrassment.
The forum declared, “The PDP is no longer a formidable national platform due to persistent divisions, distrust, and unending rancour among its members.”
However, the party chairmen reiterated the members’ allegiance to Sule Lamido and pledged their whole support and allegiance to him regardless of his choices.
Even during the height of the Buhari political tsunami in the North, Lamido is the only member of the historic G9 and G18 groups still alive who has never left the PDP, according to the forum.
The organization declared, “We urge our leader to seek a viable political platform that would allow his followers to pursue the dream of a greater Jigawa and Nigeria.”
