A 31-member caretaker team will take the place of the PDP’s Akwa Ibom State Executive Committee, which has been dissolved by the National Working Committee (NWC).
According to a statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the decision was made during the NWC’s meeting on Tuesday.
The PDP’s activities in Akwa Ibom State will be managed by the new caretaker committee for a maximum of three months, or until a new State Executive Committee is chosen.
According to what was understood, Igwat Umoren is the chair of the caretaker committee, while Harrison Ekpo serves as deputy chairman, Borono Bassey as secretary, and Ewa Okpo (Esq.) as publicity secretary.
Emman Mbong (Organizing Secretary), Aniekan Asuquo (Youth Leader), Mary Silvia Abara (Woman Leader), and Enoch Enoch (Esq.) as Legal Advisor are additional important members.
Additionally appointed are Unwana Assam, David Umanah, Esther Bassey Effiong, Udim Peters, Ayanime Obot, Ofon Michael, Aniebiet Cornelius, and Usenmfon Ibanga.
Ologunagba called on the state’s party members to unite and strive for the PDP’s common goal.
In order to advance the Party, he said, “The NWC calls on all leaders, critical stakeholders, and teeming members of our Party in Akwa Ibom State to remain united and continue to work together.”
