PDP Slams Abdullahi for Using ADC to Attack Party Instead of Confronting APC
According to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigerians continue to believe in the party’s actual strength and promise in spite of recent defections.
Debo Ologunagba, the national publicity secretary for the PDP, made this statement in response to verbal abuse directed at the party by Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC’s acting national publicity secretary.
Ologunagba claimed in a statement released on Tuesday that the PDP is still the only political party that can beat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
He asked why, rather than taking on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the ADC was attacking the PDP.
“The Peoples Democratic Party has taken notice of an unprovoked verbal attack on national television by Bolaji Abdullahi, the African Democratic Congress’s interim national publicity secretary,” the party said.
“It is not only reckless but also revealing that Bolaji Abdullahi, who is well-known for serving as the chief image maker and defender of the failed All Progressives Congress, would use the ADC’s platform to attack the PDP rather than deal with important national issues.”

Unfortunately, Abdullahi, who was brainwashed by the APC, is upset that the PDP is gaining ground against the APC before the general elections in 2027. This is why he is criticizing the PDP rather than the APC.
“In any event, the PDP will not descend to engage in disputes with the ADC or any other opposition party in the nation, as it is the dominant opposition party, enjoys the respect, loyalty, and solidarity of the vast majority of Nigerians nationwide, and serves as the broad-based platform propelling the aspiration of Nigerians to overthrow the APC in 2027.”
The PDP claimed to have a number of presidential candidates with track records and the ability to unseat President Tinubu at any moment.
The statement went on to say, “Instead, the PDP, with its performance history that Nigerians still look back on with fondness, will continue to vigorously challenge the failed APC on issues while constructively influencing national discourse and inspiring Nigerians to vote out the APC and install a people-oriented government on our Party’s platform, come 2027.”
“It is evident that Nigerians, who constitute the PDP’s true organic strength, are still supporting our Party despite the defections of some of its members. Therefore, the PDP continues to be the party with the national reach, connections, support base, and political clout to overthrow the APC.
It’s also instructive to note that the PDP, in its current form, has more than enough presidential candidates with proven track records who are capable of unseating President Bola Tinubu at any time.
