Poverty and Hunger: President Tinubu advised to speed up appointment of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs

President Bola Tinubu has been advised to appoint a replacement for the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in order to really address the suffering by the masses.

The Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Special Needs, Mohammed Abba Isa, made the appeal in Abuja on Third while addressing Journalists.

According to him, the absence of a minister in the Humanitarian Ministry has created a huge vacuum which has had negative multiplier effect on the People With Disabilities and the vulnerable groups.

He stated that In line with the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure inclusion of every segment of the society in his Renewed Hope Agenda, the Humanitarian ministry needs someone who understands the plight of the PWDs and the vulnerable so that the vision of Mr. President can be realized.

The Senior Special Adviser on Special needs therefore called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider Halimat Adenike Tejuosho for the position of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation noting that, her expertise, passion, and proven track record make her eminently qualified to lead efforts in addressing the challenges facing the most vulnerable members of the society.
