He went on to relate how his father, who was originally Muslim, converted to Christianity under unique circumstances. According to Shank, his father converted after getting food from a church during a time of extreme famine – an experience that had a long-term impact on him and eventually led to his conversion.
“My dad was a Muslim. Then there was a time when he was fucking hungry, and one church fed him, so he became a Christian. I swear to God, my father is quite cheap.”
