Shehu Sani, a former politician who served as a representative for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has advised Nigerians residing in the US to remain silent and keep praying in order to prevent President Donald Trump from deporting them.

In a post on his verified X handle on Tuesday, Sani offered this guidance.

He claims that Trump has stated that 33% of Nigerian immigrants residing in the US rely on government assistance.

“Those in this category should lie low and continue to pray,” he added. His moods now determine everything. You understand what it implies that he has the figures at his disposal.

“Nigerians and Africa should wake up in President Trump’s regime and realize that no place is better than home,” responded X user @DannymasterP.

“Nigeria is everyone’s home, and the sooner we learn to be patient and put in all the effort necessary to create something constructive in Nigeria and contribute to national development, the sooner we will be able to stop being insulted by people outside of Africa.”
