Singer 2Baba Cries Out Over Family Conflicts, Natasha Receiving Death Threats
Legendary Nigerian artist Innocent Idibia, also known online as 2Baba, has expressed outrage over the numerous death threats his wife Natasha has been subjected to after footage of their altercation in London appeared online.
According to reports, 2Baba’s family petitioned the Inspector-General of Police on allegations of abuse and financial embezzlement involving Natasha.
The Idibia family requested in a letter dated November 12 that the police look into instances that they claim have caused the singer emotional grief, financial loss, and damage to her reputation.
The petition claims that 2Baba and witnesses reported instances of physical abuse in Abuja and the United Kingdom.
Natasha was accused by the singer’s family of accessing and transferring money from his bank accounts and phone without his consent.
Additionally, she is charged with denying 2Baba access to his passport and other personal documents, reportedly keeping him from attending business meetings.
In a video posted on his social media page on Friday, 2Baba responded by accusing his family of ruining him and publicly harming Natasha’s reputation.
The music icon emphasized that he is an adult with the right to make his own decisions, that the situation has gotten worse, and that he will no longer remain mute.
2Baba asserted that his family similarly mistreated his former wife, Annie, while maintaining that he is OK and that no marriage is perfect.
He said in part, “Natasha is receiving death threats, and this whole situation has gotten dangerously out of hand.” I won’t remain silent any longer. As an adult, I have the freedom to do as I like and be with whoever I choose. In reality, my family has ruined me and tarnished the reputation of someone’s daughter, despite their claims to the contrary.
“I’ve had a fight with Natasha; tell me who doesn’t fight with their partner. I’m fine, but things are getting out of control. Annie was treated similarly by my family as well.
