Create that Change Development Initiative (CCDI), in partnership with the Swiss Embassy in Nigeria, has commissioned a reconstructed 12-stall toilet facility and two refurbished libraries at LEA Pilot Science Primary School and LEA Phase III Primary School in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

The project, the first phase of CCDI’s Public-School Revival Initiative (PSRI), aims to improve hygiene, restore dignity, and create safer, more inclusive learning spaces in public primary schools.

It follows CCDI’s July 2025 delivery of two 8-stall toilet facilities to LEA Primary School, Kabusa, and LEA Nomadic Primary School, Apo Dutse.

“Access to clean toilets is a basic right, not a luxury,” said Mrs. Sharon Ayeni, CCDI’s Executive Director.

“Libraries open doors to knowledge and brighter futures. We are grateful to the Chargé d’ Affairs, Mr Siamak Rouhani and the Swiss Embassy for joining us in the commissioning of these facilities and for partnering with us to uplift schools that need it most”, a statement by the initiative said.

The initiative supports Nigeria’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) agenda, strengthening the health, dignity, and educational outcomes of children in underserved communities.
