Following a fruitful loan stint, champion Middlesbrough has formally announced striker Kelechi Iheanacho’s return to Sevilla.
After being sidelined at Sevilla, Iheanacho first joined Middlesbrough from the La Liga team in January in an attempt to get more consistent playing time.
Iheanacho made 15 league games when he was at Riverside Stadium, helping the squad with one goal and two assists.
Before the 2025–2026 season starts, Iheanacho is anticipated to look into a permanent move away from Middlesbrough in order to establish a more secure role with a new team.
In other transfer news, Dean Huijsen, a defender for Bournemouth, is expected to sign with Real Madrid after completing his medical exams.
Huijsen’s £50 million release clause has been activated by the La Liga powerhouses, indicating their keen interest in strengthening their defensive lineup.

The Dutch defender is reportedly eager to join Real Madrid’s team for the FIFA Club World Cup, which is set for next month.
“Dean Huijsen is currently in London undergoing the final stages of his medical tests as a new Real Madrid player,” wrote prominent football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
“Bournemouth has approved all aspects, and the contract signing is anticipated to take place soon, enabling Dean to play in the Club World Cup.”
“There was never any doubt regarding Dean Huijsen’s attendance at the FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid, as initial contact between the clubs had already established this agreement,” Romano affirmed in a previous tweet. His five-year deal, which will be finalized soon, will guarantee his services till 2030.
