Fast-rising Nigerian artist Wani has drawn criticism for calling Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the 2023 Labour Party, “annoying” with his voice.

Peter Obi’s loss in the 2023 presidential election was openly praised by the musician, who claimed that he couldn’t have “tolerated” his voice for eight years.

“I don’t think I could have tolerated P*ter *bi’s voice for 8 years man!” Wani commented on his X handle.
“But, on paper, he’s right.”

The musician maintained that he was right to voice his opinion despite the criticism his tweet received.

The worst thing an artist can do is to express their political opinions, according to @Hillz_Hilary.

Wani answered, “What political opinion? The way the ngga speaks bothers me, is it a crime?

“The manner in which some of you think,” inquired @SarahIkhami. What is the significance of his voice?

In response, Wani said, “I find Peter Obi’s voice to be grating. You must question these idiots about how it turned into a political topic.

The singer’s cancellation was threatened by supporters of the previous LP candidate.

According to @Delachimes, “You are canceled.” There won’t be any streams, tours, or music careers for you. Not in my rule.

@MouthNeverest wrote: “You’re a soft-hearted idiot, @WaniWndr. For the short-term enjoyment of your friends and family, you should keep creating toilet seat music.

You still haven’t blown since 2016, despite all your privilege and connections in Lagos. You came to the studio on Palace Road in Oniru to smoke loudly.
