‘You Are Forgiven’ — Obasanjo Finally Mends Ties With Fayose

Olusegun Obasanjo, the former president, has officially stated that he has forgiven Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, so putting an end to their long-standing political rivalry.

According to reports, Obasanjo said the things on Saturday during Fayose’s 65th birthday party in Lagos.

Attendees at the event enthusiastically applauded the former president’s remarks, which were caught on camera.

Obasanjo recalled the conditions under which he consented to attend after stating that the event offered a chance for “celebration, reflection, and correction.”

“You are not the best of my political children, but you have made accomplishments that must not be ignored,” stated the former president of Nigeria.

According to the former president, Fayose ordered former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka to “sound him out” rather than contacting him directly.

“Well, if he (Fayose) has sent you and you have delivered the message, then tell him that you have delivered the message,” Obasanjo recalled when Osita, who is also a political child, arrived.

He further mentioned that Fayose had asked for forgiveness in private.

You have requested forgiveness, and in my opinion, you have received it. But it’s important to learn the appropriate lessons,” Obasanjo stated.
