‘You Left Me When I Needed You Most’ — Imisi Accuses Mother After Two Years of Silence

Imisi Ayanwale, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, has addressed the latest charges made by her mother.

The reality TV actress reportedly questioned why the issue didn’t come up until after she became well-known.

The problem started when her mother uploaded videos to the internet, claiming that despite Imisi’s N150 million victory, she had been abandoned and continued to live in substandard conditions.

Her mother was shown in the videos, which were made public on November 16, expressing annoyance and refusing to ask for assistance.

Imisi responded on her Instagram page by claiming that her mother had no involvement in her life before to her BBNaija success and that she would go for extended periods of time without speaking to her.

The relationship had always been tense, she recalled, so the abrupt public outburst surprised her.

Imisi clarified that she had given money to support her mother even in the days preceding the controversy.

She further stated that since many family members now rely on her, she is unable to use her award money for one person’s personal comfort.

“I was living my life before I won BBNaija, and you wouldn’t even call me in a year or two, so why is there a problem now?” she remarked.

“God knows I’ve tried. Last week and four days ago, I still sent you money. I’m going to murder myself?

“I am unable to deduct N1 from my winnings for the comfort of others.” There are a hundred family members who look up to me alone.

“You were not there when I was going through the hardest times in my life.”
